Dashboard > My fundraisers > Edit fundraiser > Settings

In the Settings tab, you can turn various options on and off. The default settings are:

• Allow collectors to join: default setting is off
• Collectors need organisers permission: default setting is off
• Show my profile picture: default setting is on
• Allow people to contact me: default setting is on
• The fundraiser has an end date: default setting is off
• Disable donating when target amount is reached: default setting is off
• Limited access: default setting is off
• Use my own thank you e-mail: default setting is off

In addition, you can set suggested donations for a specific purpose or item.

Explanation:

Allow collectors to join
If you switch this on, a Become a collector button appears on your fundraiser page. Visitors can then sign up as a collector themselves. You can also invite people yourself via Collectors at your fundraiser on the dashboard.

Collectors need organisers permission
If this is off, the page of a new collector goes online immediately. If you switch it on, you review every application yourself first.

Show my profile picture
Your profile picture is shown on your fundraiser page. We recommend leaving this on: people are more likely to donate if they can see who is behind the fundraiser.

Allow people to contact me
Visitors then see a Contact button next to your name. Useful for questions from donors or the news media. We recommend leaving this on.

The fundraiser has an end date
If you switch this on, you fill in an end date. It is shown on your fundraiser page. On the end date your fundraiser is closed for donations: the page stays online, but people can no longer donate. You will receive a reminder by e-mail a week in advance. You can always change the end date.

Disable donating when target amount is reached
If you switch this on and your target amount is reached, you will receive an e-mail that your fundraiser will close for donations in 7 days. In that e-mail you can choose Keep collecting. If you raise the target amount or switch the setting off, the fundraiser will not close.

Limited access
Do you only want to share your fundraiser within a small circle? Then switch on Limited access. Your fundraiser is then not shown on Spendenaktion, cannot be found with the search function and is not indexed by Google. Visitors need the link to view the fundraiser. Donations are not shown on the Spendenaktion homepage.

Use my own thank you e-mail
After their donation, donors automatically receive a standard thank-you e-mail on your behalf. If you switch this option on, you can change the text yourself. Donors also receive a donation receipt with the thank-you e-mail. This is not an official tax receipt: only the receiving organisation can issue one. Not possible for anonymous donors who have not provided an e-mail address.

Suggested donations
Set donation amounts for a specific purpose or item (minimum € 5). Donors can always choose a different amount themselves.

Do you want people to no longer be able to donate at all? You do not do that here, but on your dashboard, via Close or end fundraiser… > Close for donations.
