📱 What is TikTok?

TikTok is a hugely popular app where users can create, watch, and share short videos. It’s best known for creative, funny, and musical content, but it has grown into a platform where people of all ages showcase their interests and talents.

• Videos typically last between 15 seconds and 3 minutes.
• Users can sing, dance, lip-sync, or create informative and humorous clips.
• The app is available on smartphones and via the website.
• You can like, comment, share videos and follow other users.

TikTok learns from your viewing behavior and recommends videos that match your interests.

⚙️ How does TikTok work?

TikTok has two main sections:

• For You Page (FYP): A personalized feed of trending or viral videos based on your preferences.
• Following Page: Shows videos only from accounts you follow.

You can:

• Create and customize your profile.
• Watch and save videos.
• Like and comment.
• Join challenges (popular tasks set to music).
• Chat with friends (only if you follow each other).

🎥 Ways to share content on TikTok TikTok

Video: The standard short video you create and post to your profile.

Duet: You respond to another video by placing your video side-by-side with theirs.

Stitch: You use a snippet of someone else’s video and add your own content to it.

Live Video: You go live and interact with your followers in real time.

Direct Message (DM): You send a video or message directly to a friend.

📸 How to create a TikTok video

1. Open the app and tap the plus icon (+) at the bottom.
2. Choose to record a new video or upload one from your gallery.
3. Set the length (15 sec, 60 sec, or 3 min).
4. Add filters, effects, music, or text.
5. Choose whether your video is public, private, or visible to friends only.
6. Tap ‘Post’ to share.

You can also set a timer to record hands-free.
