After 24 years, I finally had the chance to reconnect with my family living in the favelas of Salvador, Brazil. They’ve spent their whole lives in incredibly modest conditions — never been on a vacation, never had the chance to go shopping for things they love, or enjoy a nice dinner at a restaurant. Even visiting nearby places has always been out of reach.

To put things into perspective, the average monthly income in Salvador is approximately $230 USD . That means our goal of €3,500 (about $3,800 USD) equates to over a year’s worth of income for them. This amount could truly transform their lives.

Now, I want to give something back — a gesture of love, gratitude, and hope. I’m hoping to raise €3,500 to surprise them — maybe with a short trip, some new clothes, help with debts, a beautiful shared meal, or simply groceries that ease their everyday life.
