Restore Dignity Through Monthly Ration Support for Senior Women.

For many elderly women living in the urban slums of Tirunelveli, every day is a struggle against hunger, illness, and loneliness. Most are widows from the marginalized Dalit scavenger community who spent their lives as sanitation workers, domestic helpers, or daily wage labourers. Today, age and poor health have left them unable to earn even a single meal.

Vizhuthukal Trust is launching this fundraiser to provide monthly ration support to these vulnerable senior women, ensuring they can live with dignity and better health. Each monthly support kit will include rice, essential groceries, fresh vegetables, a saree, and pain relief balm to meet their basic nutritional and personal care needs.

Your donation will be used to purchase and distribute these essential items directly to deserving beneficiaries. Every contribution helps provide nutritious food, relieve physical pain, and restore hope to women who have been forgotten by society. The funds will cover the cost of rice, groceries, vegetables, clothing, pain balm, packing, transportation, and distribution, ensuring that every donation reaches those who need it most.

A simple ration kit can mean the difference between hunger and nourishment, despair and hope. Together, we can help these grandmothers live their remaining years with comfort, dignity, and the assurance that they are not alone.

Donate today and become the reason an elderly woman smiles, eats a healthy meal, and experiences the care and respect she truly deserves.
