Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and live with dignity. Yet for many children with disabilities in rural India, this opportunity remains out of reach.

Ritham Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit organization based in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, India. Since 2004, we have been dedicated to transforming the lives of children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, and multiple disabilities. For more than 22 years, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that disability is never a barrier to education, healthcare, or a meaningful future.

Today, we provide comprehensive support to 90 children from 26 rural villages. Most of their families are daily wage earners, small farmers, or single-parent households struggling to meet their basic needs. The cost of specialized education and therapy is far beyond their reach, leaving many children without access to the care they desperately need.

At Ritham, we provide these services free of charge:

• Special Education tailored to each child's individual needs
• Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy
• Early Intervention for young children
• Nutritious breakfast and midday meals
• Safe transportation from remote villages
• Vocational training and life skills for older students
• Sports, cultural activities, and community inclusion
• Parent counselling and family support

These services help children develop communication, mobility, confidence, independence, and essential life skills. Many of our students have progressed into mainstream education, while others have secured employment and now contribute independently to their families and communities.

However, providing these essential services every day is becoming increasingly challenging. Rising costs for food, therapy materials, transportation, and educational resources place a significant financial burden on our organization. Without continued support, many vulnerable children risk losing access to the care that has transformed their lives.
