We are a family Horlov from Ukraine who were forced to flee because of the war and are currently living temporarily in Austria. We are opening this fundraiser to help our two young children receive the medical examinations they urgently need.

Unfortunately, in Austria we have been repeatedly denied these examinations, as doctors insist that our children are healthy despite clear and concerning symptoms.

Our son is 4.6 years old and has significant speech delay. He is currently working online with a Ukrainian speech therapist, and we are already seeing progress. However, without proper medical diagnostics, it is impossible to understand the underlying cause. He needs an MRI and EEG to rule out or identify neurological issues and to continue treatment correctly.

Our daughter is 1.8 years old and suffers from recurrent febrile seizures. She develops a high temperature almost every month, which leads to convulsions and causes us great fear. She urgently needs an EEG and blood tests to determine the cause and prevent possible complications.

Since these examinations are not available to us in Austria, we must travel to Ukraine, where doctors are ready to examine our children.

The funds raised will be used for:

• €200 — travel expenses

• €100 — accommodation for 4 days

• €600 — medical examinations (MRI, EEG, laboratory tests)
